25 Beautifully Illustrated Thought-Provoking Questions

A question that makes you think is worth asking…
At the cusp of a new day, week, month, or year, most of us take a little time to reflect on our lives by looking back over the past and ahead into the future. We ponder the successes, failures and standout events that are slowly scripting our life’s story. This process of self reflection helps us maintain a conscious awareness of where we’ve been and where we intend to go. It is pertinent to the organization and preservation of our dreams, goals and desires.
If you would like to maximize the benefits of self reflection, our new sister site, Thought Questions, is for you. A new illustrated thought question is posted daily. We recommend that you read and reread these questions regularly when you have some quiet time to think. After all, reflection is the key to progression.
Remember, these questions have no right or wrong answers. Because asking the right questions is the answer.
Here’s a sample of 25 recent thought questions posted on the site:

Wow excellent.
The first one really made me think. If I didn’t know my age, what would I think I am. Very interesting. Also, time or money. Always time.
March 29th, 2010 at 4:18 am
Lovely images and thoughts to go with them..Each is worth thinking about..Thanks!

Hey Marc!
Very creative and I love the picture! Thank you
Life is so fast-paced and sometimes we just get stuck in our routines and lose track of all the beautiful things life has to offer. I feel that what matters most are our friends, family and making sure we really enjoy our time on earth.
Have a great week

Indeed the pictorial depiction of all these thought-provoking questions is quite beautiful. I find number 20 to be a seed for thinking from a perspective people are not usually aware of (”if you had a friend who spoke to you in the same that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?”), but that more often than never happens…why? maybe we like to think we’re unique especially when we’re on the receiving side of things. I welcome each and everyone of you to challenge my words, because I’d really like your opinions on that.

What would you do differently if you knew no one would judge you?
What an amazing question.
I work on acting in spite of judgment all the time but if I’m totally honest, I think I still hold back in some areas due to fear of judgment.
I think you just have to make a point of working on getting over the fact that people like to judge and just go ahead and take action anyways!
March 29th, 2010 at 3:16 pm
Awe-some!
March 29th, 2010 at 3:37 pm
Hi Marc,
These are all great questions to ask ourselves!
I think my favorite one is probably #18:
“If you could do it all over again, would you change anything?”
This reminds me that decades from now I don’t want to look back with regret. And I have found that we are most likely to regret what we don’t do.
Therefore, I want to live my life by going for it. Things may work out sometimes and may not work out at other times, but I will have no regrets. And that’s a good place to be.
March 29th, 2010 at 4:30 pm
If not now, then when?
Love it!
March 29th, 2010 at 5:57 pm
These are definitely thought-provoking, and some will take some time to figure out in depth, but I aim to answer them all. Thank you for sharing

October 11th, 2010 at 11:14 am
Wow, really inspiring!
For the first time I’ve found some “internet written” questions that I thought thery were interesting. Really. How old would you be if you didn’t know how old you are? nice. Or.. do we question ourselves for instinct or did we just learn to do that? Never know.
Thanks!

We all should ask questions like them once in a while to get a better understanding of ourselves.
October 23rd, 2010 at 5:00 pm
I like how these sentiments are illustrated. My favourite one is the two questions:
“Who do you love? What are you doing about it?”
That’s worth asking daily to keep on track.

December 21st, 2010 at 10:29 am
Re question 20- If someone could talk to me the same way I talk with myself I imagine I’d feel finally understand and be understood. Not sure what the intent of that question is. Deep communication and a semantically similar map of reality would be wonderful

These questions put me into deep thought
December 24th, 2010 at 1:09 pm

Hey Marc!
It seems this month is going to be entirely productivity related. Every post that you are sharing these days makes me feel that where was i thinking when you could do this? As always i find your post very powerful and thought provoking. Questions that were well presented by pictures made it too sticky.
I think this can be used for presenting at the end of one’s session at colleges too.
Thumbs up!

Some very thoughtful questions… If I didn’t know, I wouldn’t be of any age, ever!
November 21st, 2011 at 12:14 am
Beautiful!
Definetely some very thought-provoking questions. They go beyond making you flinch on the idea of how a switch in your own perspectives could make your contributions and achievements seem so petty. I feel reassured that life - as complex as it may seem, has so much to offer and the possiblities for you are endless and hopeful.
Live life to express, and be inspirational all the while being inspired for thy self.
November 25th, 2011 at 12:13 am
#3 made me think. But in my mind the question should be reworded. It should say, can you lie without telling a lie? Think about it.
