Every morning you wake up to being one day older. These days roll into weeks, months, and years. Before you know it, a significant portion of time has passed you by. The question ultimately becomes: Have you been successful in how you spent your time? It all depends on what you value most. Maybe you value spending time with your family and close friends, making money, learning a new skill, or helping others. The most important aspect encompasses the notion that everyone should truly enjoy what they do with their time. They should enjoy it in such a fashion that when they look back at their past, they are fond of the memories. Someday it may be all that really matters. As Pink Floyd once said, “…the memories of a man in his old age are the deeds of a man in his prime…”.
Links Worth Checking Out 12-15-06
I’ve spent more time web surfing than blogging the last couple of weeks. Here are a few sites that are worth checking out.
- Refresh Thing Wii – continuously refresh the stock listings at all the major online retailers to find yourself a Nintendo Wii.
- Wired Test 2006 – The top 300 household electronics and gear all rated and reviewed by Wired.
- Ten Gadgets That Changed the World – Also from Wired.
- World’s Oldest Person Dies – Here’s to living to be 116.
- Mariah Carey Sues Pornstar – Mariah Carey never came off as the sharpest pencil in the box… this is just further supporting evidence that she’s not.
- Just how bad a President is George W. Bush? – An interesting article from the European point of view.
- Waste Some Time with Attractors 1 & 2 – A total waste of time… but pretty neat.
Cities Compete for The Young + Singles Mothers
Us Generation-Xers are looking alright for the immediate and uncertain future! At least that’s what The NY Times says.
Also, this is kind of crazy: 4 in 10 Babies are Born to Single Mothers.
Goodnight. Sleep tight. 😉
Snoop Dog, DMX, and Jay-Z Freestyle
Okay, so my friends know that I’m not exactly a card carrying member of the hip-hop community. But I still enjoy some quality rap from time to time. This is a video of a freestyle rapper by the name of Aries Spears who can accurately impersonate the sounds of Snoop Dog, DMX, and Jay-Z… and he does it all in the same set. I certainly appreciate talent when I see it. Very cool!

Pretty interesting… I’m not exactly sure who wrote it. I originally saw this a few months ago inserted as the test blog entry in a fresh installation of the Joomla content management system (so maybe a Joomla programmer wrote it). Now it seems to be spreading around in chain mail as well… thanks Ash 😉 I looked into it far enough to confirm that there is absolutely no such study on this topic at an English university. Anyway, it was interesting enough to post. Okay, now everyone quickly send this to your favorite English teacher… I mean… Oaky, now erveoyne, qciukly sned tihs to yuor fvaortie Eginslh tahceer.
